Practical solutions
I focus on what actually solves the problem, not what looks good on paper or costs more than it needs to.
I grew up in a small farming community in Kentucky, where hard work, practical problem-solving, and helping your neighbors ain't just good business strategy, it's just what you do.
Over the last few decades, I've built a career around solving problems for people with the help of technology. What started in customer-facing support roles, evolved into professional IT services, and eventually led to software engineering work focused on large-scale operations and automation systems.
I've spent years supporting users through helpdesk and system admin roles, including Kentucky-based web hosting and publishing companies on through to Amazon. Those experiences taught me that technology problems are rarely just technical problems. They affect people's businesses, schedules, and livelihoods.
For the past several years, I've also worked as a Software Development Engineer, building internal tools and systems that support robotics, automation, and computer vision technologies. That experience provides a unique perspective that combines enterprise-level technical expertise with practical hands-on problem solving.
